Tonight I re-read the article that was posted about Tony. It is true, any Flin Flonner has a ‘Tony Story’. I was skateboarding down Main Street with a friend one night and opted to do a ‘grind’ on step of the shop. Tony came out and, well we ran thinking we were in trouble. When I got home I was talking with my dad and I happened to tell him about that experience. Through our conversation I got to learn a little more about Tony and thought that I should take my dads advise and go see Tony the next day to express how sorry I was. I told my dad my plan and he assured me I had nothing to worry about. I got up the next day, got ready and headed back to Main Street, and there he was. I approached him and told him who I was, and that I was sorry and didn’t mean anything with my chosen skateboard trick the night before. Tony looked at me, in a very content way and he looked at his step. He then explained to me how much work his father put into that building, and even the little tiles on the step. I got to learn a new side of Tony that day. For an innocent skateboarder doubt a harmless trick, he showed me that something means something to someone. The most valued piece of advise I have ever be given, and have never forgot. I could have been like any other person that day and casted a judgment based on bases stories, but instead I given that amazing gift of knowledge and understanding. And for that, Tony I’m very thankful. Rest Easy.
